In this webinar recording, we dive into the thorny challenges of apprenticeship delivery and learn how Aptem’s systems are designed to help you succeed. Our expert panel comprised former heads of apprenticeships; each of whom has walked in your shoes. They understand both the demands of the sector and the varying capability of apprenticeship management systems on the market.
In this 30-minute session, our panellists candidly shared their real-life experiences of those common challenges. They show how Aptem’s apprenticeship technology can be used effectively:
- Georgina Burton, Head of Implementation, Aptem: Previous Managing Director of a training provider and Head of Apprenticeships at Moulton College.
- Claire Sykes, Implementation Consultant, Aptem: Former Head of Apprenticeships at Hull College and Apprenticeship Manager at a training provider.
- Paul Glass, Implementation Consultant, Aptem: Implemented and ran the apprenticeship delivery system at Babington, PeoplePlus UK and Intraining.
Why this session was offered
We’ve received consistent feedback from surveys, forums, industry events, and direct conversations with potential customers, highlighting significant blockers within their apprenticeship delivery system:
- An onboarding experience prescribed by a system, with no room for flexibility, that results in a poor learner experience in those crucial early days. This is directly attributed to high drop-out prior to enrolment on programmes.
- Limited adaptability in the learning delivery system, making mid-programme changes cumbersome. Basic errors that mean you must start all over again. Additional requirements like incorporating functional skills, learning support, or supplementary materials that result in a case-by-case ordeal.
- Apprenticeship delivery systems that can’t accommodate review meetings extending beyond basic progress assessments. No means to customise reviews for compliance, eligibility, additional learning support, progress, and gateway checks.
